Car Rental General Information

 

RATES
All rates are quoted in local currency with unlimited mileage and covered a full 24 hours rental .The rates include maintenance but exclude petrol. Minimum charges is a one day's rental. Excess hour is calculated at one fifth of the vehicle daily rate.

CHAUFFEUR DRIVEN
Chauffeured services are available based on daily hours of 0800- 1600. Excess hours are charged accordingly as shown on schedule overleaf. Food and lodging of the chauffeur will be borne by the Renter Chauffeur driven rates include petrol, insurance, all maintenance charges, parking fees and chauffeured service.

DRIVERS' LICENCE AND AGE
Driver must produce a current local or valid driving licence from his or her own country or a valid international driving licence held for at least two years. Drivers must be between the ages of 23 and 60 years.

INSURANCE COVERAGE
The Renter will be responsible for the full cost of the damage if the vehicles is driven in violation of the rental agreement, is abused or driven recklessly or while influence of alcohol or drugs. First RM 1,500.00 for Saloon and RM 2,000.00 for 4WD not waivable, windscreen and riot not covered. All saloon cars are strictly forbidden from being driven on gravel, unpaved roads or outside Kota Kinabalu or interstate. 

TERMS OF PAYMENT
The estimated rental charges for the period of usage plus a refundable deposit of RM100.00 is payable upon receiving the car. The final adjustment will be made on completion of rental. Extra Rent-A-Car Sdn Bhd accepts major charge cards such as American Express, Diners club, Master Charge, Visa and JCB.

EXTENSION OF RENTAL
Should you wish to extend your rental beyond the agreed termination date, it is important that the renting station be advised immediately and the required advancement is paid so that the insurance cover is extended. Failure to do so may mean the Renter is driving the vehicle without insurance

PETROL
All cars are supplied with a full tank of premium grade petrol. Cars must be returned with full tank of petrol or refilling will be at the Renters expense based our estimated cost of petrol. 

DELIVERY AND COLLECTION
Free delivery and collection from Kota Kinabalu International Airport or within a 4km radius of the renting station. For delivery beyond area, a delivery or collection fee of 70cts per kilometer will be charged.

PARKING FEES AND TRAFFIC FINES
These are the responsibilities of the Renter.

Reserves the right to demand former early return of rented vehicle without explanation due to hirer.
